Charles Redman Architects is a design-led architecture practice in Yorkshire, working across residential, commercial and industrial projects throughout Harrogate, Ripon, Nidderdale and the wider region. The studio focuses on adaptable, crafted and carefully considered spaces; creating architecture that responds to how people live, work and change over time.
Charles studied architecture at the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL, followed by postgraduate study at the Royal College of Art; establishing a strong foundation in spatial design, critical thinking and material experimentation. Professional experience spans both large and small practices; from major London studios such as WilkinsonEyre, where complex projects and technical delivery at scale were developed, to hands-on practices including Jan Kattein Architects, fostering a direct relationship with making, materials and construction.
This blend of architectural rigour and craft underpins the practice today. More recently, Charles was a project lead at Townscape Architects; delivering high-end residential and commercial projects across North Yorkshire through planning and construction. Now operating as a collaborative and client-focused practice, Charles Redman Architects guides projects from early ideas through to delivery on site; emphasising clear communication, careful briefing and thoughtful design to create well-crafted architecture across Harrogate, Ripon and Nidderdale.
